Return Policy
At Christocentricrentals, we aim to provide an easy and convenient rental experience for our customers. Our return policy is designed to ensure that the process of returning rented equipment is smooth, fair, and transparent. By renting equipment from us, you agree to the following return terms and conditions.
1. Return Deadline
- Return Date: The rental period for all equipment begins on the date specified in your Rental Agreement and ends on the date specified as the return date.
- Late Returns: If you fail to return the equipment on or before the agreed return date, you will incur a late fee, which will be charged at a daily rate as stated during the booking process.
- Early Returns: If you choose to return the equipment early, no refund will be issued for the unused rental period.
2. Condition of Equipment Upon Return
- Original Condition: All rented equipment must be returned in the same condition as when it was rented. You are responsible for the care and maintenance of the equipment during the rental period.
- Damage or Missing Parts: You must return the equipment in working condition with all components, accessories, and packaging intact. If any part of the equipment is damaged or missing upon return, you will be charged for repairs or replacements.
- If the equipment is returned damaged, the cost of repairs will be deducted from your security deposit or charged directly to your payment method.
- If the equipment is lost, you will be responsible for the full replacement cost.
3. Return Process
- Return by Shipping: If you chose to have the equipment shipped, it must be returned using the return label provided by Christocentricrentals. The return label will be emailed to you, and it must be attached to the package before shipping the equipment back. Please ensure that the equipment is securely packed to avoid damage during return shipping.
- The return shipping costs are typically your responsibility, unless otherwise agreed.
- Return by In-Person Drop-off: If you have selected an in-person drop-off option, you must return the equipment to the designated location within the rental period. Our staff will inspect the equipment upon return to ensure it is in good condition.
- If you return the equipment after hours, please follow the drop-off instructions provided by Christocentricrentals.
4. Inspection of Returned Equipment
Upon receiving the returned equipment, we will conduct an inspection to ensure that the equipment is in the same condition as when it was rented. We reserve the right to charge for any damage, missing parts, or excessive wear that occurs during the rental period.
- Inspection Criteria: The inspection will cover the overall condition of the equipment, including the following:
- Functional test to ensure the equipment operates correctly.
- Examination for physical damage (scratches, dents, cracks, etc.).
- Checking for missing accessories (chargers, cables, tripods, etc.).
- Condition of lenses (for scratches, dust, or mold).
- If the equipment passes inspection without issue, we will return your security deposit (if applicable) within 7-10 business days. If there are damages or missing items, we will notify you of the charges, which will be deducted from your deposit or charged to your provided payment method.
5. Security Deposits
- Deposit Amount: Depending on the type and value of the rented equipment, a refundable security deposit may be required at the time of booking.
- Refund Process: After the returned equipment is inspected and found to be in satisfactory condition, the security deposit will be refunded to your original payment method within 7-10 business days.
- Deductions: If any damage, loss, or excessive wear is found, we will deduct the appropriate amount from your security deposit to cover the cost of repairs, replacements, or cleaning.
6. Non-Returnable Items
Certain items may not be eligible for return or exchange due to hygiene or safety regulations, such as:
- Batteries, memory cards, or any consumable products.
- Any items that have been altered, damaged, or otherwise tampered with.
If you have rented these types of items, they must be returned in the same condition as when they were rented, with no exceptions.
7. Cancellation of Rental Agreement
If you wish to cancel the rental and return the equipment early, you must inform us in writing. However, no refunds will be provided for unused rental days if the equipment is returned before the agreed return date.
8. Late Return Fees
- Daily Late Fees: If the equipment is not returned on the agreed-upon date, a late fee will be applied to your account. This fee is typically charged on a daily basis, as per the terms outlined during booking. The late fee amount can vary depending on the type of equipment rented.
- Extended Rental: If you wish to extend the rental period, you must notify us before the original return date. Extensions are subject to availability, and additional rental charges will apply.
9. Insurance for Damaged or Lost Equipment
- Optional Insurance: We offer optional insurance coverage that protects you in the event of accidental damage or loss of the rented equipment. If you opted for insurance, you may be covered for certain types of damage or loss.
- Without Insurance: If you did not opt for insurance and the equipment is damaged or lost, you will be charged for the full repair or replacement cost.
10. Exceptions
In certain cases, we may allow a modification of return terms due to circumstances beyond your control, such as shipping delays or severe weather conditions. Requests for exceptions must be submitted in writing, and we will review them on a case-by-case basis.
